For that old school fish and chip shop, you can't really go past Charlie de cod. Felt like stepping back in time, and yep, even the prices. $18 for a Fisherman's Basket that is fully loaded with the deep fried seafood goodness you'd ever want. Sure, it's not the worlda greatest fish and chips, but for $18 in this day and age, it absolutely does a great job. It's a really good crumb on all the seafood. It's a great batter on the potato scallops, and the fries with chicken salt hit the mark. And for deep fried food, not as oily as one would think. All in all, it's a decent fisho, which I'll happily support whenever I feel like Fish n Chips

I've been coming here for many years, what is so amazing is there have been several owners in that time. Everyone has maintained the quality and presentation from my first visit, which is very rare for that to occur. Oil change is impeccable. Thank you as it gives life to your food

Simple fish and chips shop in Southport. If you're looking for an easy fish and chips, burger or hot food for the family this is the perfect place.
Service was fast, milkshake was yummy and the burger was simple. I asked for extra salads on my fish burger and it was a little dry so I added my tomato sauce at home.
Nice and cheap.
